Hey, Freshman!
welcome to aiesec
We are happy to have you there! It's an onboarding page, where you can find all the necessary information about organisation for
the successful beginning of your way with us!
Freshman:
Ok, so why AIESEC is a good place for my personal growth?
AIESECer:
A lot of people say that their AIESEC experience influenced the development of their strong personality
Freshman:
Everything is so complicated...
aiesecer:
Don't worry, we'll make it clear to you. Let's see how this page can help you to get settled in AIESEC!
The AIESEC way
The AIESEC Way is the guide that explains what is the purpose of our existence but also the unique way how we are achieving it as an organisation.
In today's context, "Peace" does not mean only avoiding war. Peace can symbolize a world that does not have conflicts that arise from cultural, religious, or other aspects of differences in humanity. Peace can also symbolize being in harmony with yourself. AIESEC strives to build a world where people can work towards their own understanding of peace while respecting and understanding the views of others.

Through "Fulfillment of Humankind's Potential" AIESEC strives for a world where people can be the best version of themselves.

Our how is really simple: through young leadership.
Freshman:
Wow, that's so impressive!
AIESECer:
Yes, it is! Do you know that AIESEC is run by young people from 18 to 30?
FRESHMAN
No way!
AIESECer
That's true! And Russia is one of the 120+ countries you can find AIESEC. Let's learn more about AIESEC in Russia!
About AIESEC in Russia
  • 34 years of history
AIESEC in USSR was founded in 1989. Since then the organisation has lived through a lot of changes, but AIESEC in Russia is still working on the future of young people.
  • 400+ members of organisation
They are Team Members, Team Leaders, Vice-Presidents and Presidents of LCs, MC members, VAM, and ESTs. All of them are leaders who change other people's lives by providing them with leadership experience through exchanges.
  • 11 Local Committees
And they are based in 9 cities: Voronezh, Kazan, Ufa, Perm, Ekaterinburg, Tyumen, Rostov on Don, St. Petersburg (there are 2 LCs: SPUEF and Engec-Guap), and Moscow (also 2 LCs: Moscow and REU).
  • 100+ participants on Russian Volunteer projects per year
It's Russian youth who lived through a challenging experience and opened up Russia for themselves. We are story makers who are leading Russian youth.
Freshman:
That's all really great, but how actually do we develop leadership in youth?
AIESECer:
Oh, there are a plenty of different ways. Let's see!
What are we doing actually?
Exchanges
We have our Russian Volunteer and Global Talent projects, which means that every day we are working both for Russian youth who go to another country and foreigners who come to Russia to make an impact on their development and sustainability in the world.
Membership
It's a really unique experience, and you became a part of it! As AIESEC members young people learn how to work in a team, communicate effectively, project and team management, get analysis skills, learn strategy planning, but most importantly they meet a lot of great people.
Forums
We have our YouLead and BreakPoint forums. Through these products, young people in Russia get a chance to know more about their potential, get a lot of useful acquaintances, and learn more about AIESEC!
Freshman:
Now I understand! So through its activity, AIESEC makes an impact on the well-being of humanity?
AIESECer:
That's right! We strive to contribute to world sustainability, so in 2015, we joined for realisation of 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Sustainable Development Goals
All our Global Volunteers projects are related to 17 SDGs. For AIESEC as a global organisation it's really important to impact its realisation.
In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed on 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change by 2030. The Sustainable Development Goals are frequently referred to as the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, just the Global Goals or Agenda 2030. The uniqueness of the Goals is that everyone can find a Goal to support and advocate for as they touch upon every aspect of the life of an individual.
